Making Current Affairs Cool
We designed a completely new app for Channel 4's flagship documentary series Dispatches. From the graphics to the styling of the app's functionality, our lead designer Tony Brannon created a smart new image which the network loved. And the content was pretty cool too: the world's first second screen app for a factual series.

2012 saw Standing Stone emerge as one of the world's leading innovators in second screen content. Our mobile app which streamed live content during Channel 4's Dispatches series has led the way in companion apps for the television industry. The app, which operates on iPhone and Android devices, including iPad, has been honoured with a nomination for Innovation of the Year in the prestigious British Journalism Awards.

Live, real-time streaming
The Channel 4 Dispatches app offers viewers a rich, bespoke stream of content which is synchronised to their mobile devices during a programme's broadcast. It also offers the ability to save and share items, and to join other viewers discussing the programme via Twitter.
